Red Bull Pays For Misleading Advert

The makers of Red Bull energy drink are set to pay compensation worth $13 million(£8 million) as a result of a lawsuit filed against them for false advertisement.

Going by the advert, which promotes Red Bull drink giving you "wings" was halted by the law suit which says 'Such deceptive conduct and practices mean that [Red Bull's] advertising and marketing is not just “puffery”, but is instead deceptive and fraudulent and is therefore actionable.’

As the payment is set to commence, the company has said the proof of purchase receipt is not needed to claim the refund as every compensation would be a $10 cash payment or £15 worth of Red Bull product. According to Mail Online, this payment is only open to people in the United States and the payout of the monies would cover for drinks bought between January 1st, 2002 to October 3rd, 2014.
