According to MyZimbabwe, a Binga man landed himself in murky waters after he failed to control his se’xual zest and allegedly ra’ped a church mate.
The State case as presented by prosecutor Bruce Ndlovu was that on 15 August this year, the accused, Enock Munsaka, from Siansale in Binga reportedly set an ambush for the complainant who was also on her way home.
Munsaka was said to have followed his victim all the way from church until they reached a secluded place where he struck her on the head with a log.
The accused reportedly took the opportunity and ra’ped the complainant until she became unconscious. The man then disappeared from the scene after quenching his sex’ual desire.
When she regained consciousness, the woman picked herself up and recalled what had transpired before reporting the matter to the police.
A manhunt was launched leading to the arrest of Munsaka. He appeared before Binga magistrate, Stephen Ndlovu and pleaded guilty to assault and rape charges. He was then remanded in custody to 2 September for sentencing.
